Your words and your resolve are like water to a thirsty soul. As an African American man approaching seventy years of age, I have long been bewildered over how the white church can read from the same Bible as the rest of us and glean from its' pages justification for slavery, segregation, racial oppression and the unjust treatment of people of color, especially black people. Like King, I have often wondered what Jesus they worship. It can't be the Jesus of the Bible.

May I say that I have the utmost respect and admiration for you, Brother Jones, for taking the stand that you have taken for the truth. You are one of the most honest and sincere white people it has ever been my pleasure to read behind and listen to. I read your book, "White Too Long," and recommended it to my children who also read it and were as refreshed as I was by the truth you so clearly presented. I want you to know that I pray for you in my daily devotions that God will increase your voice and measure of influence in this twisted and self deceived society that we find ourselves in. I can only imagine the kind of blow back you endure for standing so firmly and uncompromisingly for the truth. May God bless and keep you for the good you are doing.
