Limited Time - My Book, The Hidden Roots of White Supremacy, Now 50% Off
PLUS, WTL Conversations [S4E1]: A theological conversation with Dr. Otis Pickett on the entanglement of white supremacy with American Christianity
Dear #WhiteTooLong readers,
I’m sending this in real time today, rather than the typical morning release because of a time-sensitive opportunity.
Heads up - I just found out my book, THE HIDDEN ROOTS OF WHITE SUPREMACY AND THE PATH TO A SHARED AMERICAN FUTURE, which debuted on the New York Times bestseller list in September, is currently 50% off at Amazon.
This is the lowest price that has been available for the book. I don’t know how long that pricing will last, but I wanted to make everyone here aware of the opportunity before the algorithms readjust the pricing!
If you've been waiting to get your copy or one for a friend, you can now get the hardcover for the price of the paperback. And if you buy the book using the button below, part of your purchase will go to support this newsletter.
A Theological Conversation with Otis Picket on the Entanglement of White Supremacy with American Christianity
I’m also pleased to share my recent conversation with Dr. Otis Pickett, host of “The Purpose that Prevails” podcast. Otis and I have a common connection to the South and to Mississippi College, where I was a student and he was later a professor.
In this episode, Otis and I have a more theological conversation than I often get to have about the long history and current state of white supremacy in American Christianity. He even asks me to “give my testimony”—a request I haven’t gotten in quite a while.
“Purpose That Prevails” was created to inspire its listeners, primarily of the Christian faith, to understand and embrace the power that comes with taking steps forward to achieve a greater global society through the sharing of ideas and personal involvement in events that will help to shape the social, economic and religious landscapes in the American South over the next half-century.

Here’s a teaser video to give you a taste of the conversation.
